These forest paintings are here to remind us of who we are. Even though there is no human presence in the paintings, the trees are us. These works act as a remembering to our deepest being.

Yes we are workers, students, lovers, haters, creators and consumers. How we describe ourselves to a stranger is who we are – very much so. But, that description is the easy part: the understood and the given. Who we really are is more mysterious than our mere descriptions. Maybe who we really are should not be put into words. Who we are is our movement and growth through space and time, coupled with our interactions with those around us.

 

Perhaps we are more like the forest than we know.
